The buildings we floor

Offices and conference rooms, hotels and restaurants, retail floors, schools, healthcare spaces and multi-family properties: those are the settings the commercial side works in. Property managers and institutions get the same thing a homeowner does, someone who measures and stays with the job, with every phase coordinated so the business can keep running around it.

What goes down, and where

Broadloom carpet

Wall-to-wall carpet for offices, conference rooms and hospitality, where comfort and sound absorption matter.

Carpet tile

Modular squares for high-traffic corridors, classrooms and retail. When one is stained or worn, that one square comes up instead of the room. One of the lines carried is Aladdin Commercial, which is backed by Mohawk and makes broadloom, carpet tile and LVT for exactly these buildings.

Luxury vinyl plank and tile

LVP gives the look of wood and LVT the look of stone or ceramic, both easy to clean, which is why they suit clinics, shops and apartments.

Sheet vinyl and linoleum

Both are on the commercial list as well, installed by the same team as the rest.

How a commercial job is run

The work goes in five phases: a site assessment, the choice of material, the schedule, the installation, and a final walkthrough. Greg Koehler, who manages the Spring Hill showroom, has done commercial work, project management and sales in his more than 20 years in flooring, and he has been with Weightman since 2007.

Where the samples are

Commercial samples can be pulled at 4918 Main Street in Spring Hill or on Trousdale Drive in Nashville, both open 9 to 5 on weekdays; the College Grove showroom opens by appointment. Ask for the commercial lines when you call, so the boards are out before you arrive.

Questions

Commercial flooring, answered

What kinds of buildings do you install commercial flooring in?

Offices and conference rooms, hotels and restaurants, retail floors, schools, healthcare spaces and multi-family properties. Those are the settings the old site named for the commercial side, and each gets the same five phases, from a site assessment through to the final walkthrough.

What commercial flooring materials do you install?

Broadloom carpet, carpet tile, luxury vinyl plank and tile, sheet vinyl and linoleum. Broadloom suits offices and hospitality, carpet tile corridors and classrooms, and LVP or LVT clinics, shops and apartments. Aladdin Commercial is one of the commercial lines carried.

Why use carpet tile in an office instead of broadloom?

Because one stained or worn square can come up without touching the rest of the room. That makes carpet tile the usual choice for busy corridors, classrooms and retail floors, while wall-to-wall broadloom is kept for conference rooms and spaces where comfort and quiet matter more.

How is a commercial flooring job run?

In five phases: a site assessment, the choice of material, the schedule, the installation and a final walkthrough. The schedule is set around the business, so it can keep running while the floor goes in. Tell us the window you have when you ask for the site visit.

How do I get a quote for commercial flooring?

Send the square footage, the type of space and the window you have to work in, through the form or on (615) 277-5678. Someone comes out for the site assessment first, because the quote depends on what is down now and how the building is used.
